Can I keep my usual phone number when using a TripSIM eSIM?

Absolutely. Your TripSIM eSIM only provides data, so your current number is still active for calls and texts. You can still call and message friends through apps like WhatsApp or Messenger, etc.

After getting an eSIM, do I need to turn anything on?

You won’t need to switch anything on. If this is your very first data plan with TripSIM, you’ll just need to set up your eSIM before using it. Don’t worry—it only takes a few moments. Simply follow our step-by-step installation guide here.

Do I need to enable roaming when using my eSIM?

Yes. For your eSIM to work smoothly, data roaming must be enabled in your phone settings. This won’t lead to unexpected costs—your usage is fully covered by the TripSIM plan you purchased.

Which phones are compatible with eSIM?

Since Apple introduced the iPhone 14 without a physical SIM slot, eSIM technology has quickly gained momentum. Today, many popular devices like Samsung Galaxy models, iPhones starting from the XS Max, Google Pixel, OPPO, and others are eSIM compatible.

When should I set up my eSIM?

Because a WiFi connection is required, it’s best to install and activate your eSIM shortly before you travel. If you prefer, you can also wait until you reach your destination, as long as you have WiFi to complete the setup.

How do I set up the eSIM on my device?

After purchasing, you’ll receive a QR code by email. Open it on your computer or print it out, then on your phone go to Settings > Mobile/Cellular Data > Add Data Plan and scan the code. You can assign a name to your TripSIM data plan and easily switch between it and your regular provider’s plan. The TripSIM eSIM will activate once you arrive at your destination.
