Do I need to enable roaming when using my eSIM?
Yes. For your eSIM to work smoothly, data roaming must be enabled in your phone settings. This won’t lead to unexpected costs—your usage is fully covered by the TripSIM plan you purchased.
Which phones are compatible with eSIM?
Since Apple introduced the iPhone 14 without a physical SIM slot, eSIM technology has quickly gained momentum. Today, many popular devices like Samsung Galaxy models, iPhones starting from the XS Max, Google Pixel, OPPO, and others are eSIM compatible.
When should I set up my eSIM?
Because a WiFi connection is required, it’s best to install and activate your eSIM shortly before you travel. If you prefer, you can also wait until you reach your destination, as long as you have WiFi to complete the setup.
How do I set up the eSIM on my device?
After purchasing, you’ll receive a QR code by email. Open it on your computer or print it out, then on your phone go to Settings > Mobile/Cellular Data > Add Data Plan and scan the code. You can assign a name to your TripSIM data plan and easily switch between it and your regular provider’s plan. The TripSIM eSIM will activate once you arrive at your destination. Just turn on data roaming and select TripSIM as your data plan. For more details, refer to your phone’s user manual. Every TripSIM eSIM comes with step-by-step setup instructions to guide you.
